Uno de los motores del avión se quebró, una parte del tren de aterrizaje se desprendió y el fuselaje se agrietó en el accidente, señalaron autoridades. Todos los pasajeros pudieron ser sacados de la aeronave, refirió Omar Lawrence, portavoz del aeropuerto Norman-Manley. El ministro de Seguridad jamaicano, Dwight Nelson, y el de Transporte, Daryl Vaz, visitaron el lugar del accidente, para poner en marcha la investigación correspondiente.
